REVIEW: LEGO Endgame Battle 40525

The latest LEGO Marvel minifigure pack is an interesting one. 5 Characters and a couple of tiny builds a for less than £14 seems like decent value, so lets have a quick look.

FROM THE CREATORS: Fans of Super-Hero action will love LEGO® Marvel Endgame Battle (40525). This fun-filled accessory pack gives kids a great way to increase the play possibilities of any existing LEGO Marvel playset. The pack includes 5 popular minifigures: Korg with a stud-shooting blaster, Miek with knives for hands, Thor with Mjölnir, Valkyrie with a sword and stud shooter, plus a Chitauri warrior.

The Stud shooter cannon thing is the least interesting thing to me from this set. That will be going in my parts bins. But the 5 figures are what we are here for, right?

“Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Korg. I’m kind of like the leader in here.”

Lets start with Korg, the loveable rock alien with a New Zealand accent. This is the first set we have had with Korg in his battle attire (he came in a Hawaiian shirt in Bro Thor’s New Asgard 76200) and is the main reason I grabbed this set. The figure looks great and he has two very appropriate expressions. I also think I could definitely re-use thos torso and leg parts for custom fantasy characters (Drow Barbarian?).

Next up its Thor. This version of Thor has only appeared in 2 other sets at this point and they were both much more expensive. So its great that this set gives people a low cost way to get an important version of that character

He comes with Mjolnir but I suppose really he should also have Stormbreaker since he hands mjolnir over to his worthy colleague in the movie. I’m no bothered though because I’m never a fan of brick built weapons like that.

What are you, the Gof of Hammers?

Next up is Miek. Now this is clearly not a minifig but it is a pretty fun little build. Its probably about as accurate as you could get for Miek and his exoskeleton without some dedicated moulds. So I’m pretty happy with it.

Valkyrie is another welcome addition and makes the whole set fell more like a Thor Ragnarök set than an Endgame set, regardless. This version has only been in one other set so Its good for another chance to pick up this figure. She only has one expression since her hair would not cover an alternative

Finally, a Chitauri warrior. A generic fig that’s been in a lot of sets recently, but its always good to get one of these to help build up an army. I guess it would have been good to get 2, but not at the expense of one of the other figures or a higher priced set.

All In all its a really good value pack, I wish LEGO would do more like this. A few less common figures of popular characters with good quality prints at a really good price (for LEGO).

I believe this is a LEGO exclusive so you can buy it from LEGO Stores or LEGO Shop@Home (Like I did).

Korg and Miek are my favourite things in this set

Yeah, I love these guys.
