Hello Readers! I’m back from another extended break from taking photos, its been over a year since I spent any significant time shooting toys! I have had a few false dawns since then when I did take one or two shots but never felt fully able to get back into it.
Time is always at a premium and before a recent change in employment I was giving too much time to my job, thankfully that has now stopped. That coupled with some (now resolved) health issues really limited my time for photos. I’ve also been giving time to other hobbies such as fitness, video games and D&D. I’m trying to get better at spreading my time over all of these.
In the meantime I have, of course, continued to add new toys to the collection. Even though I’ve only taken a handful of photos in the last 12 months, photography is always on my mind when looking at new figures or LEGO sets. So, I have a massive backlog of things I want to shoot.
I’ve been shooting again in February as a few things clicked in to place that mean I should have free time to spend on this.
I have updated the Galleries here with some of those new shots as well as some sporadic shots that I took over the last 18 months since my last gallery update on here. This year the goal is to be more consistent with updating this site
I’m also keen to get back to writing some reviews, that is something I really enjoy doing, in fact I have one that I am working on now that should be ready in a few days.
I am also going to look to create some posts showing older work that I never featured here before. A big reason for that is that I am not sure what is happening with the various social media sites, so I want to make sure this website remains the best place to look at my work since its fully within my control.
